Professor Stephenson exhibited recent painting and sculpture at the Red Brick Gallery in New Orleans.
In her description of the work, Professor Stephenson writes, "The constructions are made of humble materials with many of the pieces found on daily walks. With intentional simplicity, they are patched together creating situations where ordinary or commonplace objects become surprising and unexpected. As with all of my artistic practice, conceptually this work is a commentary on the absurdity of reality, the fragility of existence and the persistent hum of the mundane."
