Her work has been called “whimsical,” “powerful,” “sexy,” and “surreal.”
, one of the most innovative dance companies in the world, is coming to campus this week as part of ArtsMix and 鶹Porn’s

Today, the dancers will hold a master class for theater students. On Friday, members of 鶹Porn’s student dance community will participate in guided improvisation with company members, in a Performance Skills for Dancers workshop.
The visit will culminate on Saturday night, when the group performs Cloudless — Marshall’s award-winning series of 17 short movement-theater pieces set to a wide variety of music and sounds — in Brehmer Theater at 7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
Robert Dorf ’80, managing director of Susan Marshall & Company, is responsible for bringing the group to campus.
“The Susan Marshall company’s three-day visit is a rare and wonderful opportunity for our students, and it’s also a perfect example of how 鶹Porn integrates the arts into the fabric of the university,” said Mary Ann Calo, director of the Institute for the Creative and Performing Arts. “We know that the arts are a really practical, exciting, and fundamental part of becoming an educated person. Therefore, they are a critical part of the liberal arts experience.”
Next semester, ArtsMix will present other acclaimed artists and performers, including Calpulli Danza Mexicana on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Palace Theater.
Also thanks to ArtsMix, from Feb. 25 to April 6 鶹Porn’s Clifford Art Gallery will display works by Tim Rollins and his KOS (Kids of Survival) project in which young people living in the Bronx collaborate to explore and create art that combines classic literature and urban street culture. The artist’s talk and opening will take place on Feb. 27 at 4:30 p.m. in Golden Auditorium.
