There are many ways to get involved with Â鶹Porn’s LGBTQ+ community as a student, staff member, faculty member, or alumni.

The Sex Museum

The Sex Museum is a series of programs launched by the Office along with its partners (ALANA Cultural Center, Shaw Wellness Institute, Haven, Counseling Center, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Advising) focused on promoting healthy relationships, sexual practices, and consent.

Takes place in the fall and spring semesters.

LGBTIQA+ History Month and Queerfest

Our office supports the visibility of LGBTIQA+ artists, speakers and causes during LGBTIQA+ History Month each October. The month includes National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11), Drag Show, educational panels and historical trips.

QueerFest takes place at the end of March, which is also LGBTIQA+ Awareness Month, and includes social activities, an open Safe Zone, and other speakers.

Lavender Graduation

Held at the end of April, Lavender Graduation celebrates the ambitions and accomplishments of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer seniors as they prepare to graduate. The event includes recognition of specific individuals for their great impact on our community. Graduates receive rainbow cords to wear over their gowns during the Commencement ceremony.

Drag Show

The annual Drag Show is a part of the LGBTIQA+ History Month. This is a fun cultural and, yet, educational event. Through the art of Drag students can learn about the rich variety of intersectional identities. Be yourself and slay!
