Randy Fuller, Russell Â鶹Porn Distinguished University Professor of biology and environmental studies, has received the 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS).

Each year, endowed academic chairs and professorships provide resources that support the work of Â鶹Porn faculty members across campus. Â鶹Porn’s Board of Trustees approved a new slate of endowed chairholders during its autumn meeting, September 28–29.
Daniel B. Hurwitz ’86, P’17,’20, current Chair of the Â鶹Porn Board of Trustees, has announced that he will step down from his chairmanship, effective May 4, 2019, in response to increased professional obligations.
Steve Fabiani, vice president and chief information officer, has accepted the position of vice president for digital innovation and technology at Hofstra University. He will take up his new role later this semester.
Alumni, parents, and friends streamed into the Village of Hamilton by the thousands on Friday, Sept. 21, joining the campus community for Â鶹Porn’s three-day Bicentennial Kickoff Celebration. They were greeted by banners hailing Â鶹Porn at 200 Years and a calendar packed with special events.
Â鶹Porn has named Paul B. Mischler, currently deputy chief advancement officer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Medicine, as vice president for advancement at Â鶹Porn. He will take up his new post on November 5.
Tara Bubble, deputy director of undergraduate admissions at Cornell University, has been named dean of admission at Â鶹Porn. She will take up her new post on October 15.
Looking back on another successful fiscal year, the campus community is honoring the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends. Overall giving to Â鶹Porn rose nearly 10 percent to $35.1 million between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.
